Ghazal Srinivas Arrested for Sexual Harassment

Ghazal Srinivas who is a well-known Telugu singer has been arrested for harassing a female employee of his office, sexually. He has sent to remand for 14 days by Panjagutta police in Hyderabad. It is alleged that Ghazal Srinivas harassed a woman sexually who is working in his office ‘Aalaya Vani’ which airs spiritual shows and songs.

It is reported that Srinivas asked the employee to sleep with him and threatened her with the consequences of not paying the salary if she doesn’t accept sexual advances. The case was registered on December 29, 2017, and Srinivas was arrested on Tuesday. The employee was joined in Aalaya Vani in 2017 and since then she is facing the sexual harassment by Srinivas continuously.

The employee had submitted the videos which were recorded at their workplace as evidence in which she faced sexual harassment. The preliminary investigation was done and it is revealed that almost all the women in the office faced the harassment. But Srinivas said that he treated the employee like a sister and he respects every woman. I never behaved wrong with anyone, he added.

Ghazal Srinivas is a great Telugu singer who has many fans all over the country and this was never expected by anyone. He holds the Guinness World Record for singing songs in 76 different languages at the concert. In 2015, as a peace activist, he visited Israel and sang ‘Golden Dreams of Gandhiji’ in three different languages.

It is really hard for the fans to believe that Srinivas did this all but people think the recorded videos are the evidence and there is no way to escape now. However, sexual harassment cases are increasing day-by-day and people are expecting some serious punishments to the persons who commit the harassment. We have to wait for some more time to know whether the evidence is strong enough to jail Srinivas for years or it is all rubbish as he said.
